Applefields School Programme
This is a unique accredited music performance and media skills programme that has been designed by AA&M for post-16 students attending Applefields SEN School.
Media Skills
The Media skills course is designed to introduce students to the technology and skills needed to run a successful recording session The group uses a mix of mainstream and accessible music technology, including music production software such as soundforge and cubase to record their own sounds and music. Over the course of a year, the group works through a number of units teaching them how to identify and use a range of studio technology, and undertake a number of roles such as recording, performing and editing to create their own songs, music and soundscapes.
Music Performance & Production
The music performance & production course is designed to enable young people to make their own music through the use specialist accessible music technology. By using technology such as soundbeam and MIDICreator, these sessions can be accessed by all young people, regardless of previous music experience or level of physical dexterity.
